Being selected to be a part of People to People is
an honor. And, much like college, there is a lot of
preparation needed before you go. For some delegates
this means fundraising. Many approach it as a
learning experience and opportunity in and of
itself. The rewards for perseverance are many: an
unparalleled educational travel adventure; global
and cultural experience that stands out on college
applications; an opportunity to walk through doors
closed to the general public; and the chance to grow
and learn and stretch in ways seldom imagined before
the journey began.

Being selected to be a part of
People to People is an honor. And, much like
college, there is a lot of preparation needed before
you go—you have to pack, send in forms, learn about
where you are going, and, a lot of times, you may
need to earn or find sources for your tuition. For
some People to People delegates, this means applying
for scholarships, finding sponsorships, or planning
fundraising events. We have created this website as
a guide for your family to successfully fundraise
and explore alternative funding sources.

Getting Started The biggest key to fundraising is to
start early. Like many things, it can often take
longer than one might expect. And don't wait to find
out if you received a scholarship or not to start
fundraising: scholarships are extremely competitive
and may not be awarded until late in the process,
making it difficult to fundraise successfully.
