Holiday Poinsettias
Show off your creative side while raising funds for your journey. The holiday season is the perfect time to sell Poinsettias.
What You Will Need
Starting the beginning of your winter break, make flyers advertising the poinsettia sale and display them around town. (Make sure you have permission first.) Check with local florists to find out where you can buy poinsettias at wholesale prices, and then raise the price a dollar or so depending on the size of the plant. You can buy holiday-colored cellophane and wrap it around the pot, tying it with a ribbon, to make it more attractive.
Location
Ask a local grocery or retail store for permission to set up a booth inside to display and sell your poinsettias. If you have enough volunteers, you can set up more booths at other stores.
Volunteers
Ask friends and family to help distribute flyers, decorate the pots and sell the poinsettias at other grocery or retail stores.
